Well lets see, first of all I am really glad that I made the consciences decision to turn my career goals over to a company like Brickman. Brickman is a company that has a lot to offer in the landscape and irrigation industry. I have had the opportunity to make my own decisions in troubleshooting, installation, some sort of design, and being able to go out into the field and do these things has made a big impact on me. Just knowing that you work for a company of such magnitude and recognition really means a lot. I am honestly proud to say that I work for Brickman. At first when I was in class and my college instructor told me about the open intern position that Brickman had available, I was a little on the nervous side. I was wondering, Would I do good enough to represent Lake City community college in this field and scope of work? Well I thought about that for about a whole five minutes. Of course I am. I am Dave McCall and I am an irrigation technician. I have been out in the intern field for six weeks now and I have everything from fixing a simple little thing like changing a clogged nozzle, and adding pressure reducing shrub adapter to help some areas of turf dry up a little, all the way to the big stuff like a four inch mainline break where it tees off into a four valve manifold system. I have also had the opportunity to meet and work with some really great people. People that treat you like you were family. People that would help you out in the drop of a hat. I know a lot of people will never have the opportunity to ever work for someone or for a company like that. Someone that I met once told me that they would change my life forever. Well after one short year of two semesters of college and two short summer classes, I would have to say that person was right. My life has been changed and it has been changed forever. Thanks Mr. King you have really helped me out and really pushed for me to give my all. Thanks for believing in me.
