The irrigation management program was started in the fall of 1999. The need for more properly educated irrigation specialists and the request for people skilled at water delivery was a key element for the future. The program offers courses with landscape technology, landscape and forestry, forest management technology, and turf equipment management in mind.

Mr. King then started to build the irrigation program and its buildings and labs. At first, there was only a few students interested in this program. Now, the college has visits from high schools from all around the states-just for the irrigation program alone!
