Lake City Community College offers the Associate in Science degree in Business Administration and Management to prepare students to enter the business world as mid-managers in a variety of environments. Skills in management, computers, supervision, marketing, accounting, and communication are emphasized in this 64 credit hour program.

To be officially accepted into this program, students must:

Have a high school diploma or GED certificate
Take a placement test as prescribed by State Board of Education Rule
Successfully complete any necessary preparatory classes and 16 hours of classes marked as core* courses before being admitted to this program.

All students are required to construct their class schedules with the assistance of advisors. This is a special access program which has certain program prerequisites which must be met before formal admission into the program is allowed.

Students:

may exempt College Reading or other courses if sufficient skills are demonstrated or if the division chairperson agrees to a course substitution. If student exempts one or more courses, acceptable elective (s) must be taken,
must have all electives or alternatives approved by the faculty advisor or division chairperson, and
must complete Preparatory classes in English, Reading, Math and Student Development if placement scores are not at required levels.
